Product Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW
Focused on the high-profile Retail and Services Genius software solutions within company, this role supports the enablement of in-app analytics and guided experiences through Pendo. The Pendo Associate Product Manager will partner closely with product, design, and engineering teams to execute event tagging, build in-app experiences, and improve data visibility that helps us understand how merchants use our POS products.It's an ideal opportunity for someone early in their career who is highly organized, data-curious, and eager to learn how product analytics and in-app guidance directly shape the user experience. This role supports our retail-focused initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams across North America and Europe to ensure instrumentation and guide strategy align with our overall Genius POS experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES Product Data & Instrumentation

• Help ensure data accuracy and visibility across the POS experience:
  1. Configure, QA, and maintain feature tags, pages, and events within Pendo to ensure accurate data capture.
  2. Validate that analytics events align with defined taxonomy and product goals.
  3. Document standards and instrumentation rules for repeatable, scalable measurement.
  4. Partner with engineering to verify event capture and data integrity across environments.

In-App Experience Design

• Help create intuitive in-app messages and walkthroughs that improve merchant adoption:
  1. Build and QA Pendo guides, tooltips, and onboarding flows based on product objectives.
  2. Test and optimize segmentation, targeting, and messaging strategies
  3. Collaborate with product design and marketing to align copy and visual standards.
  4. Monitor performance metrics and recommend optimizations to improve engagement.

Research & Insights

• Support our product design and product management teams through data and measurement:
  1. Build dashboards and usage reports to track feature adoption and guide interactions.
  2. Translate merchant behavior into actionable insights for product teams.
  3. Help summarize and present findings to stakeholders in clear, visual formats.

Collaboration & Process

• Work within an agile environment and contribute to improving our workflows:
  1. Participate in agile ceremonies such as, sprint planning and backlog refinement sessions.
  2. Support analytics request intake and process documentation.
     Coordinate with Product Ops and Design Ops to ensure changes follow release standards.
  3. Partner with global teams to stay aligned on data governance and privacy guidelines.
     Understand and evaluate usability heuristics within a product experience

Must Haves:

• 1 2 years' experience in SaaS operations, analytics, or marketing technology role.
• Familiarity with Pendo (or similar tools like Mixpanel, Amplitude, WalkMe).
• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and interest in learning JavaScript instrumentation.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Interest in data-driven product design and user experience measurement.

Bonus Attributes

• Experience building dashboards or visual reports (Google Data Studio, Tableau, etc.).
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and agile methodology.
• Experience working in remote or distributed teams.
