Software Engineer Front End

RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Kforce client is looking for Software Engineers in the Miami area.

Summary:
The Front-End Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain modern web applications with a strong focus on building scalable, high-performance, and visually engaging user interfaces. This role will primarily focus on front-end development while contributing across the full stack as needed.

Responsibilities include developing responsive applications using React and Next.js, integrating APIs (REST and GraphQL), and supporting backend services built with Node.js and .NET. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams-including product, design, and QA-to deliver high-quality features and improvements. This role is highly collaborative and hands-on, requiring participation in agile ceremonies, technical design discussions, and code reviews. The engineer will also contribute to testing strategies, troubleshoot issues, and ensure application performance, scalability, and security.

Additionally, this individual will mentor junior team members, take ownership of features from concept to delivery, and proactively identify opportunities for enhancements and process improvements. Staying current with emerging technologies, including AI tooling, and applying innovative solutions will be key to success in this role.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
* 5-7 years of software engineering experience with a strong front-end focus
* Expertise in React and Next.js for building scalable web applications
* Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs and GraphQL
* Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and responsive design
* Familiarity with Headless CMS and Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems
* Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban)
* Solid understanding of software design principles, architecture, and code quality practices
* Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing frameworks
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
* Ability to take ownership of projects and work independently

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
