The OpportunityWe partner with manufacturers across Ludington seeking Help Desk Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing software and hardware.
- Resolve IT issues related to production machinery and control systems.
- Document and track all help desk tickets, resolutions, and trends.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and IT teams to optimize system performance.
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on shop floor IT equipment.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of new technology for production lines.
- Train manufacturing personnel on the use of new software and hardware.
Recommended Qualifications- Associate's degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of experience in a help desk or IT support role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware (e.g., desktops, printers, industrial equipment interfaces) and software issues
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking concepts
- Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment, including occasional exposure to noise or varying temperatures
Bonus Qualifications- Experience with SCADA systems or other industrial control systems.
- Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems (MES) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in an industrial setting.
- Prior experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
