Salary Range: $52,000 - $79,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Hart seeking Help Desk Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for manufacturing software and hardware issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to production equipment and factory floor systems.
• Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution and maintain a knowledge base for manufacturing-specific issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software for manufacturing workstations, servers, and peripherals.
• Collaborate with IT and operations teams to identify and implement solutions that improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Assist with the deployment and support of new technologies and systems within the manufacturing environment.
• Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on manufacturing IT infrastructure.
• Provide on-call support for critical manufacturing system issues outside of regular business hours.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Associate's degree in IT or a related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in a help desk or IT support role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware (e.g., PCs, printers, barcode scanners) and software (e.g., Windows OS, MS Office Suite, manufacturing-specific applications).
• Familiarity with network fundamentals (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN) and basic Active Directory user management.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with diverse users and documenting technical issues.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) in a manufacturing context
• Familiarity with industrial control systems (e.g., PLCs, SCADA) or manufacturing execution systems (MES)
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure specific to manufacturing plants (e.g., industrial networking, ruggedized hardware)
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles as they relate to IT support
• Certification in ITIL or other service management frameworks tailored for critical production environments
