Help Desk Technician | Montague, MI

Salary Range: $49,000 - $76,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Montague seeking Help Desk Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing software and hardware.
  • Resolve user issues related to production systems, CAD/CAM software, and shop floor applications.
  • Install, configure, and maintain workstations, peripherals, and network devices on the factory floor.
  • Document support tickets, resolutions, and create knowledge base articles for common manufacturing IT issues.
  • Escalate complex technical problems to senior IT staff or specialized vendors, particularly for critical production systems.
  • Assist with the deployment and support of new manufacturing technologies and automation solutions.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years experience in a help desk or IT support role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for PCs, printers, and manufacturing-specific equipment.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and experience with Active Directory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
