Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client in Oakland, CA is seeking a strong, hands-on Technical Project Manager to lead a large-scale enterprise migration from a Microsoft environment to Google Workspace. This individual will own the overall project from the business side and coordinate across internal stakeholders, technical teams, security, Google, and third-party migration partners. The migration will impact approximately 1,400 users and will require a highly organized, proactive PM who can manage both the technical complexities of the migration and the user-facing aspects of communication, training, change management, and adoption. The ideal candidate has personally led large-scale email and file migrations, preferably from Microsoft/Outlook to Google Workspace, and can independently drive a fast-moving project from planning through successful rollout.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the end-to-end Microsoft to Google Workspace migration
* Own project planning, timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables
* Coordinate across business stakeholders, IT, security, Google, migration vendors, and end users
* Partner closely with the external migration team while serving as the internal owner of the overall initiative
* Manage migration activities involving email, files, data, and collaboration tools
* Coordinate pilot/early adopter groups and phased rollout activities
* Support user communications, training, change management, and adoption efforts
* Identify project risks, technical issues, security considerations, and dependencies early and drive them to resolution
* Hold internal and external teams accountable to project timelines and deliverables
* Communicate project status, risks, decisions, and escalations clearly to both technical and business stakeholders
* Ensure security stakeholders are appropriately engaged throughout design and technical phases
* Operate independently in a fast-paced, Agile environment with minimal oversight

REQUIREMENTS:
* Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager leading large-scale technology migrations
* Hands-on experience owning enterprise email and file/data migration projects
* Experience managing migrations involving a large user population, ideally 1,000+ users
* Strong understanding of migration planning, testing, pilot groups, rollout, and post-migration support
* Demonstrated ability to manage technical teams, vendors, business stakeholders, and executive-level communication
* Strong project ownership with the ability to drive deadlines, accountability, and issue resolution
* Experience identifying and managing project risks, dependencies, and technical challenges
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and independently drive initiatives forward
* Ability to work US business hours across EST/PST

Preferred Qualifications:
* PMP, Agile, Scrum, or other relevant project management/technical certifications are a plus, but not required
* Direct experience leading a Microsoft/Outlook to Google Workspace migration
* Experience working with Google Workspace and the broader Google ecosystem
* Experience with collaboration environments that include Slack and Zoom
* Previous exposure to security-related projects or experience incorporating security considerations into technology migrations
* Experience supporting change management, user communications, training, and adoption for enterprise technology rollouts
* Experience in fast-growing, consumer-facing environments such as retail, beauty, e-commerce, social media, or other highly dynamic organizations
