Summary

Location: Charlotte, NC Description: Our client is currently seeking a CyberArk Engineer.

The Lead CyberArk Engineer is a senior technical leader responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, automation, integration, and continuous optimization of the enterprise Privileged Access Management (PAM) ecosystem. This role drives the strategic evolution of CyberArk solutions, including Privileged Credential Management, Privileged Session Management, Secrets Management, Application Access Controls, and Privileged Access Governance.

As a key security and engineering leader, the Lead CyberArk Engineer collaborates with infrastructure, cloud, application, security, identity, and platform engineering teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and secure PAM solutions that safeguard critical enterprise assets while enabling efficient and compliant privileged access.

This position combines deep technical expertise with architecture leadership, automation, strategic planning, governance, and team mentoring responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead enterprise-wide CyberArk engineering initiatives and PAM transformation programs.
  • Define and execute the strategic roadmap for privileged access management, platform modernization, and security automation.
  • Design, implement, and support highly available, scalable, and mission-critical CyberArk environments.
  • Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for CyberArk solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Drive integration of CyberArk with identity, infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, and security platforms.
  • Establish engineering standards, conduct architecture reviews, and ensure adherence to security and governance requirements.
  • Develop automation solutions to improve operational efficiency, provisioning workflows, credential lifecycle management, and compliance reporting.
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to align PAM capabilities with enterprise security objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor and develop engineering teams, fostering technical excellence and knowledge sharing across the organization.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in Information Security, Infrastructure Engineering, Identity & Access Management (IAM), or Systems Engineering.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing CyberArk PAM solutions.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise-scale PAM implementations and security engineering teams.
  • Strong expertise in CyberArk Privileged Access Management, Secrets Management, and Privileged Session Management.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and supporting highly available, resilient, and mission-critical security platforms.
  • Strong understanding of cloud, infrastructure, identity, DevOps, and security architecture principles.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
