Job Title: Sr. Service Desk Support Technician
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Sr. Service Desk Support Technician to join our client to support advanced IT service delivery and enhance the overall employee technology experience. This role serves as a key escalation resource while driving improvements in support processes, automation, and knowledge sharing. The position blends hands on technical troubleshooting with opportunities to implement AI enabled tools and streamline service operations. This is an onsite, contract to hire opportunity based in Malvern, PA.
Compensation:
Up to $55,000 annually
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities of the Sr. Service Desk Support Technician:
- Deliver Tier 1 and Tier 2 support across endpoints, user access, and enterprise applications while serving as an escalation point for complex technical issues
- Analyze recurring incidents, perform root cause reviews, and recommend long term solutions including automation and process improvements
- Manage ticket queues with a structured approach by ensuring accurate prioritization, consistent follow up, and complete resolution of all requests
- Leverage scripting and automation tools to reduce manual tasks while contributing to chatbot enhancements and self service knowledge resources
- Support onboarding, hardware lifecycle management, and ongoing IT projects while mentoring junior team members and promoting continuous service improvement
Qualifications and Skills for the Sr. Service Desk Support Technician:
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred, with equivalent hands on experience considered
- At least five years of progressive IT support experience with exposure to escalations and advanced troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows environments, Active Directory, and identity and access management practices
- Familiarity with endpoint management tools, VPN technologies, disk encryption, and enterprise application support
- Demonstrated ability to script or automate tasks using tools such as PowerShell or similar platforms, along with strong communication and problem solving skills
