Job Description:
Position: Desktop Infrastructure Lead/Architect
Location: Newtown Square, PA (5 days onsite in a week)
Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and deployment of desktop infrastructure solutions, ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient endpoint computing environments.
Architect and oversee application deployment, upgrades, and patch management strategies across endpoint devices to optimize performance and security.
Design and manage virtualization environments, including virtual machine (VM) infrastructure, to maximize resource utilization and flexibility.
Develop and enforce comprehensive computer policies and standards to maintain system integrity, compliance, and operational consistency.
Architect print server solutions to ensure reliable and scalable printing services across the organization.
Lead the design and deployment of standardized desktop operating system images to streamline provisioning and reduce deployment time.
Plan and coordinate extensive lab testing for software and hardware compatibility, performance, and security validation.
Collaborate with network, server, and security architecture teams to ensure integrated infrastructure solutions and effective incident response.
Establish and maintain detailed documentation of architectural designs, processes, configurations, and troubleshooting methodologies.
Drive change management processes at an architectural level to ensure stability and control over desktop infrastructure modifications.
Oversee implementation of new projects with minimal disruption to daily operations, ensuring continuous service availability.
Architect and manage endpoint security systems and software deployment to safeguard devices from threats and vulnerabilities.
Ensure endpoint compliance with organizational policies and security standards through proactive monitoring and enforcement mechanisms.
Define and manage computer objects and policies within Active Directory (AD), Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), or Azure environments at an architectural scale.
Engage with stakeholders and end users to gather requirements, identify challenges, and develop strategic, innovative solutions.
Analyze market and technology trends to develop strategic roadmaps that drive innovation, efficiency, and competitive advantage.
Provide leadership and vision for delivering best-in-class desktop infrastructure products and services that meet and exceed organizational and end-user expectations.
Qualifications
Extensive experience in desktop infrastructure architecture, including endpoint management, virtualization, and security.
Deep expertise with Active Directory, ADFS, Azure, and related identity and access management technologies.
Proven ability to design and implement enterprise-wide OS imaging, application deployment, and print services architectures.
Strong background in lab testing methodologies and performance validation for software and hardware.
Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
Strong documentation skills and experience managing architectural governance and change management processes.
Strategic thinker with a track record of aligning technology architecture with business goals and driving innovation.
