RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of a Lead Software Engineer in Jersey City, NJ.
Responsibilities:
* Serve as a technical SME for one or more applications
* Partner with Business Systems Analysts to ensure solutions meet functional requirements
* Collaborate with Infrastructure on efficient hosting and deployment
* Optimize application performance and resolve technical issues
* Design, build, test, and support application components across the SDLC
* Conduct unit and functional testing to meet functional and non-functional requirements
* Research and apply solutions aligned with technology standards
* Support development, testing, troubleshooting, and production environments
* Apply appropriate development methodologies based on project needs
* Embed risk and control practices into daily work and escalate issues as needed
* Contribute to CI/CD practices and continuous improvement across teams
REQUIREMENTS:
* 8+ years of experience with SQL, PL/SQL, and data warehouse technologies
* Experience with Snowflake; Oracle and other cloud databases
* Programming experience in Python and/or Java
* Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools
* AWS cloud experience
* Strong Unix/Linux skills, including shell scripting
* Solid understanding of Agile and DevOps practices
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
* Experience in OTC derivatives or financial markets
* Experience collaborating with geographically distributed teams
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
