Senior UI/UX Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of a Senior UI/UX Engineer in Jersey City, NJ.

Responsibilities:
* Serve as a technical SME for one or more enterprise applications
* Partner with Business Systems Analysts to ensure solutions meet functional requirements
* Collaborate with Infrastructure to define and deploy optimal hosting environments
* Optimize application performance and resolve technical issues
* Research and apply technical solutions aligned with enterprise standards
* Design, build, test, and support application components across the SDLC
* Develop unit and functional test cases to meet functional and non-functional requirements
* Support development, testing, troubleshooting, and production environments
* Apply appropriate development methodologies based on project needs
* Embed risk and control practices into daily work and escalate issues as needed
* Contribute to continuous integration, continuous delivery, and improved ways of working

REQUIREMENTS:
* 6-8+ years of related professional experience; Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
* 6+ years of hands-on Java and J2EE development experience with Java 17 or higher
* Strong backend development experience with Spring Boot and REST API design
* Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems
* Experience with CI/CD tools and practices including Git, Jenkins, Maven, and JaCoCo
* Strong database and PL/SQL skills with Oracle and Snowflake experience preferred
* Experience with cloud and container platforms including AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker
* Exposure to XML, XSD, JSON, and data integration formats
* Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
* Experience with unit testing and code coverage using JUnit 5, Mockito, and PowerMock
* Solid understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
* Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
