About the Role
Our firm is partnered with a large, enterprise-level organization in the insurance and financial services industry to identify a skilled Technical Engineer to support onsite technology operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical professional who enjoys working directly with end users, leading technical initiatives, and supporting a broad range of IT infrastructure in a corporate environment.

Job Description
The Technical Engineer will provide installation, support, and troubleshooting services across network, server, workstation, audio/video, voice, and facility technologies. This role involves direct customer interaction, project leadership, and collaboration with internal IT partners to ensure a reliable and efficient technology environment.
What You Will Do
  • Lead, plan, coordinate, and deliver technical support for the implementation and installation of computers, network equipment, servers, audio/video systems, and associated peripherals in alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Serve as a technical lead on complex projects and initiatives.
  • Diagnose, document, and resolve hardware, software, network, audio/video, and facility-related issues.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, management, engineering partners, and peers.
  • Provide guidance to customers regarding equipment standards, usage, and expenditures.
  • Use analytical, technical, and business knowledge to support operational needs across the organization.
  • Coach and mentor team members while assisting with task coordination and project delivery.
  • Adhere to corporate policies related to asset management, travel expenses, and overtime.
  • Represent IT professionally and act as a role model aligned with organizational culture.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Requirements
Required
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across desktop, laptop, network, and peripheral technologies.
  • Minimum of 3 years of customer-facing end-user technology support experience.
  • Active driver’s license (used for commuting purposes).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work full time onsite in a corporate office environment.
Preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience supporting macOS, iOS, and related devices.
  • Working knowledge of:
    • Desktop and laptop hardware configurations
    • Telephony and VOIP systems
    • Audio/video and collaboration technologies
    • Server functionality and configurations
    • Network topology and operating systems
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining day-to-day support responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced, changing business environment.
  • Experience accurately assessing customer needs and resolving issues with urgency and professionalism.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team-oriented environment.
