JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a hands-on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) Administrator to manage and support production cloud environments that power data platforms, analytics workloads, and enterprise applications.

This role is operations-focused, emphasizing stability, security, monitoring, and incident response in a 24/7 production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support Google Cloud Platform environments.

• Manage Compute Engine, IAM, VPC networking, firewall rules, and storage.

• Monitor system health, uptime, and performance.

• Support OS patching, vulnerability remediation, and security hardening.

• Handle production incidents, outages, and escalations.

• Support cloud-hosted enterprise and data platform applications.

• Use Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and alerting tools.

• Perform incident response, root cause analysis, and change management.

• Track work through ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy, etc.).

• Create and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and operational documentation.
