Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Collaboration Systems Engineer to join the *** Collaboration Experience team. In this role, you will design, build, and operate scalable solutions across key collaboration platforms including Slack, Airtable, and other enterprise SaaS platforms supporting both business operations and engineering productivity. You will combine hands-on solution development with platform administration, automation, and integration, translating organizational needs into secure, reliable, and well-governed collaboration systems. Strong technical expertise, a platform ownership mindset, and the ability to partner across engineering, IT, and business teams are essential.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Slack apps, bots, workflows, and Airtable-based business solutions that improve collaboration, productivity, and operational efficiency
• Develop and integrate solutions using Slack APIs (Events API, Block Kit, slash commands), Airtable formulas, automations, interfaces, and enterprise APIs/webhooks
• Administer, configure, manage changes, and operate collaboration platforms, ensuring reliability, scalability, performance, and security
• Establish, apply, and evolve platform standards for development, governance, data integrity, and compliance across collaboration systems
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues, including incidents, automation failures, and performance degradation
• Partner with engineering, IT, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, iterate on solutions, and deliver high-impact outcomes
• Write documentation and runbooks to support ownership and maintainability
• Participate in platform design initiatives, vendor evaluations, and solution implementations as collaboration needs evolve
• Share on-call or operational support responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience supporting and engineering collaboration SaaS platforms
• Strong hands-on experience building solutions on Slack and Airtable
• Proficiency with JavaScript, experience with APIs, webhooks, and JSON data structures
• Experience designing and operating integrations across multiple systems and services
• Ability to balance rapid delivery with scalability, security, and platform standards
• Experience building internal tools or automations for technology and business teams
• Familiarity with enterprise security, compliance, and data governance considerations
• Strong collaboration skills and working effectively on cross-functional teams
• Ability to decompose complex problems and deliver clear, practical solutions
