The OpportunityWe partner with manufacturers across Fremont seeking Help Desk Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing software and hardware.
- Resolve user issues related to production systems, including PLCs and HMIs.
- Document, track, and monitor help desk requests to ensure timely resolution.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of shop floor IT equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and resolve recurring technical problems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and routine checks on manufacturing IT infrastructure.
Recommended Qualifications- Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware (e.g., desktops, printers, shop floor terminals) and software (e.g., Windows OS, MS Office Suite, manufacturing-specific applications).
- Experience with ticketing systems and IT service management best practices.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN) and ability to troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical issues to non-technical users in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple support requests in a fast-paced production setting.
