Salary Range: $51,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Newaygo seeking Help Desk Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing software and hardware.
• Resolve IT issues for production machinery, PLCs, and SCADA systems.
• Maintain and configure network connectivity for factory floor equipment.
• Document and track IT support requests and resolutions for manufacturing systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on industrial control systems.
• Assist with the deployment and integration of new manufacturing technologies.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in a help desk or IT support role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in troubleshooting hardware (e.g., PCs, printers, barcode scanners) and software (e.g., Windows OS, MS Office, ERP systems).
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi) and basic server support.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective user support and problem resolution.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with SCADA systems or other industrial control systems
• Familiarity with ERP software commonly used in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle EBS)
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in an OT/IT converged environment
• Certifications in ITIL, CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
