Sr. Business Systems Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of multiple web applications, including architecture, business functionality, workflows, and data flows.
• Provide ongoing operational and maintenance support (KTLO), as well as support for new initiatives and enhancement projects.
• Analyze current-state ("as-is") business processes and system designs; design, develop, and implement future-state ("to-be") processes and workflows.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, compliance, and overall service delivery.
• Facilitate cross-functional working sessions with architects, developers, business analysts, QA teams, security teams, and business stakeholders to establish shared understanding and resolve ambiguities.
• Elicit, document, and translate clear, complete, and testable business requirements for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Create, update, and maintain process, system, and training documentation in alignment with SEM/SUITE standards.
• Guide and oversee effective use of Azure DevOps (ADO) for agile planning, backlog management, delivery tracking, and reporting.
• Define measurable success criteria and ensure alignment between business units and IT teams.
• Provide oversight, coaching, and training to business analysts, developers, QA staff, and subject matter experts.
• Lead application modernization initiatives, including incremental transformation of legacy systems to contemporary frameworks.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in business analysis, systems analysis, testing, documentation, training, and service delivery.
• Proven ability to analyze and design current-state ("as-is") and future-state ("to-be") process models and workflows.
• Strong proficiency in creating process maps, workflow diagrams, and data-flow diagrams.
• Experience developing system and functional documentation, test cases across multiple scenarios, and training materials aligned with SEM/SUITE standards.
• Demonstrated experience leading full-scale projects from planning through execution and delivery.
• Proven success modernizing legacy systems and transitioning them to modern platforms.
• General working knowledge of:

  • Azure DevOps
• ITIL certification (or equivalent).
• Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma concepts as applied to IT delivery, application modernization, and system-supported business processes.
• Knowledge of ITIL-based service management practices, including application operations and change management.
