Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Windows Administrator to support and maintain Windows-based infrastructure that enables enterprise Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) services. This role focuses on secure Windows Server operations, Active Directory, automation, and compliance to support authentication, authorization, and identity services across the enterprise. Daily responsibilities include supporting developers and performing code reviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022).
- Perform system patching, vulnerability remediation, hardening, and lifecycle management.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows authentication services.
- Support ICAM applications hosted on Windows servers, including federation services, access gateways, and identity connectors.
- Ensure secure operations for identity services such as AD, ADFS, and Azure AD Connect.
- Implement and maintain security baselines and compliance standards (e.g., DISA STIGs, CIS benchmarks).
- Develop and maintain automation using PowerShell and tools such as DSC, SCCM/MECM, or Ansible.
- Troubleshoot Windows OS, Active Directory, and ICAM application issues and participate in on-call support.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 3+ years of experience is required. Strong expertise in Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows security. Experience supporting identity-related technologies (ADFS, LDAP, Kerberos, SAML, OAuth, PKI, certificate management) is necessary.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with enterprise security and IAM concepts (authentication, SSO, MFA, RBAC, identity lifecycle). Proficiency with PowerShell scripting is required. Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Event Viewer, Splunk, Sentinel) is also needed.
Clearance: Candidates must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance as a condition or continuation of employment.
Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or IAT Level II equivalent certification is required.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $65.00 and $75.00 per hour. Please note that the posted pay rate is a good faith estimate. The final pay rate will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
