Role Overview
We are seeking a Linux Administrator to support, maintain, and enhance Linux-based systems that enable enterprise Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) functions. This role is responsible for the secure, stable, and compliant operation of infrastructure components that support authentication, authorization, and identity lifecycle processes. Daily responsibilities include supporting developers and performing code reviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, configure, and maintain Linux servers such as RHEL, Oracle Linux, or Ubuntu.
- Perform system patching, vulnerability remediation, system hardening, and lifecycle management.
- Support ICAM tools and services, including IAM directories, federation services, PKI components, and privileged access systems.
- Implement and maintain security baselines like DISA STIGs and CIS Benchmarks.
- Develop scripts using Bash, Python, or Ansible to automate administrative tasks and deployments.
- Troubleshoot operating system and application-level issues and participate in on-call rotations for service events.
- Collaborate with ICAM architects, cybersecurity personnel, and network and application teams.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 7-8+ years of relevant experience.
Technical Skills:- Strong knowledge of Linux administration, including system services, networking, storage, and SELinux.
- Experience with identity or security services such as LDAP, SSO, federation, certificates, PAM, and SSSD.
- Scripting experience with Bash, Python, or Ansible.
- Familiarity with logging platforms like Splunk or ELK and other monitoring tools.
- Understanding of IAM concepts including authentication, authorization, identity lifecycle, RBAC, and MFA.
Certifications: Security+ or an equivalent certification is required.
Clearance: Candidates must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance as a condition or continuation of employment.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $65.00 and $75.00 per hour. Specific compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
