Position Overview:The ID Badge Specialist supports the Public Safety IT Card Services team by administering identity and access credentials across assigned locations. This role is highly customer-facing and requires strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. The position may include work in clinical or secure environments.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary point of contact for badge-related inquiries and provide high-quality customer service
- Produce and issue ID badges and credentials using specialized software, printers, and imaging equipment
- Process badge requests through online systems and in-person service channels
- Support high-volume badge production initiatives, including planning and execution
- Ensure compliance with identity management policies, procedures, and security standards
- Respond to customer requests via email, phone, and in person
- Track inventory, supplies, and equipment to ensure operational readiness
- Maintain operational metrics and communicate trends or issues to management
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments
- Perform additional duties as needed to support Card Services operations
Required Qualifications- Experience in administrative support, customer service, or service desk environments
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Proficient computer skills and strong written communication abilities
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe tools, and web-based systems
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse populations
- Ability to work standard business hours with flexibility for special projects
