Description
Seeking an automation specialist to modernize and scale operations through workflow automation, systems integration, and reliable reporting/telemetry. This role will be primarily responsible for designing and implementing automated workflows for key processes across a large enterprise environment. The duties will include, but not be limited to: Designing, building, and operating automation for high-volume or high-friction processes (e.g., request intake and routing, approvals, fulfillment, exception handling, scheduled validations, and periodic review cycles). Establishing standardized data sources and telemetry for automated workflows (logs, signals, metrics) to enable consistent reporting, dashboards, and trend analysis. Partnering with engineering and operations teams to integrate automation with upstream/downstream systems (e.g., ticketing/workflow platforms, HR/finance systems, CMDB/data sources, monitoring/alerting) using APIs and event-driven patterns. Creating and maintaining technical documentation and operational playbooks that make automation supportable (design docs, runbooks, monitoring/alerting, failure modes, and recovery procedures). Driving continuous improvement by identifying high-friction manual steps, quantifying time savings, and iterating on automation reliability, performance, and coverage. Demonstrated experience communicating and presenting material to groups and leaders outside of their primary work group.
