Description
We are looking for a skilled Quality Assurance Analyst II to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the functionality, accuracy, and reliability of applications and data systems across both user interfaces and backend processes. Your expertise in quality assurance testing, particularly within the insurance and annuities domain, will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of performance and compliance.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive manual and automated testing, including functional and regression testing, to ensure system reliability.
Validate data accuracy and consistency across policy administration systems, ensuring compliance with organizational and industry standards.
Utilize tools like Postman and SQL queries to test APIs and analyze data flows between systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues, ensuring seamless integration and data display.
Develop and maintain test cases, strategies, and plans using industry-standard tools like qTest.
Monitor production applications, investigate reported issues, and provide detailed analysis to facilitate resolution.
Ensure timely documentation of test results, bugs, and project reports while adhering to high-quality standards.
Lead quality assurance efforts on projects of low to medium complexity, delivering clear and actionable insights.
Create estimations, daily status reports, and project closure documents to support effective communication and planning.
Identify potential risks within testing processes and propose strategies to mitigate their impact on project timelines.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance testing, including UI and data validation.
Strong knowledge of insurance and annuity systems, with experience in policy administration.
Proficiency in testing tools like Postman for API testing and SQL for data querying and validation.
Familiarity with Selenium for web browser automation and manual testing techniques.
Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and quality assurance processes.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills for synthesizing complex information.
Experience with tools such as Jira for tracking and managing testing efforts.
