Prominent is seeking a Java Developer for a 100% remote, contract-to-hire opportunity with a Fortune-ranked global professional services and consulting organization. This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys troubleshooting complex application issues, enhancing existing systems, and delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Java, Spring Framework, SQL, and Angular, along with a passion for problem-solving and production support.

Key Responsibilities

Resolve application support and helpdesk tickets related to enterprise systems.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and fix application defects and production issues.
Develop and implement data-fix scripts to resolve system and data integrity issues.
Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications using Spring Framework.
Collaborate with business and technical teams to implement system enhancements and change requests.
Create reports and analyze production trends to identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities.
Perform code reviews, testing, and quality assurance activities to ensure reliable software delivery.
Support ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Java development.
Experience with Spring Framework and/or Spring Boot.
Strong SQL skills, including query optimization and data analysis.
Experience developing or supporting Angular applications.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM).
Experience creating and executing data-fix scripts.
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications.
Background in consulting, professional services, financial services, insurance, or other highly regulated environments.
