Summary

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Enterprise Reporting & Analytics Engineer - Onsite for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Pennington, NJ and Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Reporting & Analytics Engineer to design, build, and manage enterprise reporting solutions across Microsoft Power Platform, Dataverse, Power BI, Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365, and related cloud services. This role requires strong expertise in Power BI, Dataverse, Microsoft Power Platform, data modeling, API integrations, governance reporting, and enterprise analytics.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI, Dataverse, Power Platform, and Microsoft cloud services
  • Establish Dataverse as the centralized repository for governance, operational, compliance, adoption, inventory, and historical reporting
  • Build and maintain Power BI datasets, semantic models, dashboards, scorecards, KPIs, and executive reporting
  • Develop automated data ingestion processes using Microsoft Graph, Power Platform Admin APIs, Dataverse APIs, Power Automate, Microsoft Fabric, and related technologies
  • Create reporting and analytics for environments, applications, flows, agents, solutions, connectors, makers, ownership, licensing, capacity, and platform health
  • Design data models that support trend analysis, governance oversight, lifecycle management, and executive decision-making
  • Develop operational reporting to identify failed automations, inactive assets, orphaned resources, ownership gaps, data quality issues, and compliance risks
  • Build governance dashboards for DLP policies, managed environments, connector usage, policy compliance, and governance exceptions
  • Create Copilot Studio and AI agent reporting for inventory, ownership, usage, lifecycle status, permissions, and governance reviews
  • Integrate data from Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Dataverse, Fabric, Purview, Defender, Sentinel, and other enterprise platforms
  • Deliver executive dashboards measuring platform adoption, growth, utilization, governance effectiveness, compliance, and operational performance
  • Implement security, access controls, monitoring, alerting, data quality controls, and reporting standards
  • Establish application lifecycle management, deployment, and source-control practices for reporting assets
  • Develop technical documentation, data dictionaries, architecture artifacts, and operational runbooks
  • Partner with architecture, engineering, governance, compliance, audit, cybersecurity, risk, and business teams to deliver enterprise reporting capabilities
  • Continuously enhance reporting solutions based on platform changes, stakeholder feedback, audit findings, and business needs

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security Systems, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Analytics, Engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in business intelligence, data engineering, enterprise reporting, analytics, Power Platform, Power BI, Dataverse, or Microsoft cloud technologies
  • Hands-on experience developing enterprise reporting and analytics solutions using Microsoft Power BI
  • Strong experience designing Power BI semantic models, datasets, dashboards, KPIs, DAX calculations, Power Query transformations, and enterprise reporting architectures
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing Dataverse-based solutions and reporting repositories
  • Strong understanding of Dataverse tables, relationships, alternate keys, business rules, security roles, auditing, and model-driven applications
  • Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Dataverse, and Power Platform administration
  • Hands-on experience integrating data using Microsoft Graph APIs, Power Platform Admin APIs, Dataverse APIs, REST APIs, OData services, and JSON-based integrations
  • Strong understanding of Power Platform governance, environment strategies, environment groups, managed environments, DLP policies, connector governance, licensing models, and capacity management
  • Experience designing dimensional data models, historical reporting repositories, inventory management solutions, and enterprise data architectures
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, DAX, data modeling, data integration, reporting architecture, metadata management, and data quality management practices
  • Experience developing executive dashboards, operational reporting, governance dashboards, scorecards, trend analysis reporting, and KPI reporting solutions
  • Experience implementing Power BI security controls including row-level security, dataset security, workspace governance, and report access management
  • Experience implementing application lifecycle management practices using managed solutions, deployment pipelines, environment variables, connection references, and source control
  • Experience troubleshooting reporting solutions, API integrations, data ingestion processes, refresh failures, and enterprise reporting issues
  • Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and reporting insights to executive, governance, audit, compliance, risk, and engineering audiences

Desired skills:
  • Experience building enterprise reporting solutions for Power Platform, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Dataverse, Microsoft Fabric, or related Microsoft cloud platforms
  • Experience implementing, extending, or supporting the Power Platform Center of Excellence Starter Kit
  • Experience developing custom reporting repositories that supplement or extend Center of Excellence reporting capabilities
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Lakehouse architecture, Data Factory, data pipelines, and enterprise analytics platforms
  • Experience integrating reporting solutions with Microsoft Graph, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Entra ID, and Power Platform administrative data sources
  • Experience designing long-term reporting repositories that support historical analysis beyond operational monitoring retention periods
  • Experience developing reporting solutions for applications, automations, agents, connectors, environments, makers, ownership, licensing, capacity management, governance controls, and lifecycle management
  • Experience implementing historical snapshots, change tracking, trend analysis, incremental ingestion, and enterprise data retention strategies
  • Experience designing inventory reporting, governance reporting, operational reporting, compliance reporting, and executive scorecards
  • Experience developing risk-based or health-based reporting models for environments, applications, automations, connectors, agents, and makers
  • Experience presenting reporting insights, operational metrics, governance metrics, and strategic trends to senior leadership and executive stakeholders
  • Experience working in banking, financial services, healthcare, insurance, government, or other highly regulated industries
  • Microsoft certifications related to Power BI, Power Platform, Dataverse, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or Microsoft Cloud Architecture

Pay range: $65.90 - $73.90 per hour
