Genesis10 is currently seeking an Agile Scrum Master for a hybrid position (3 days onsite per week) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role focuses on guiding and coaching a Scrum Team to leverage Agile practices and principles for delivering high-quality products and services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and adhered to, helping the team achieve high performance by fostering self-organization, and resolving impediments to enhance effectiveness.
Responsibilities: - Guide and coach the Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principles
- Help the team achieve a high-performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement
- Ensure Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines
- Coach the Scrum team in self-organization, cross-functional skillset, and domain knowledge
- Work with the Scrum Team and stakeholders to influence and drive decision-making
- Resolve team impediments to increase the effectiveness of Scrum application
- Contribute to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization
- Facilitate and support all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective
Requirements: - 5+ years of experience as an Agile Scrum Master
- 5+ years of work experience with JIRA Issue and Project Tracking Software
Desired skills: - 5+ years of work experience on large and complex projects
- Agile coaching experience
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Information Technology or similar
- Working knowledge of Lean Agile SDLC processes and deliverables
- Working knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management
- Experience in education at all levels of management within the agile framework
- Excellent analysis and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to foster strong collaboration among team members and help the team solve problems
- Self-motivation, self-direction, and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a complex, fast-paced environment
Pay range: $63.94 - $71.94 per hour
