Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Analyst with expertise in SQL database administration to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in SQL Server database management, including installation, upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning. This role involves supporting multiple SQL Server databases on Azure and Windows platforms, ensuring optimal performance, and participating in a 24x7 on-call rotation. The candidate must possess strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide enterprise-level SQL database administration on Windows operating systems, including data migration, replication, user administration, and backup/recovery.
  • Install, upgrade, and migrate SQL Server databases (version 2012 and above).
  • Monitor and tune database performance to ensure optimal operation.
  • Manage and support various backup and recovery strategies.
  • Develop PowerShell scripts to automate routine DBA tasks.
  • Administer and manage availability groups, replication, and stand-by configurations.
  • Migrate on-premises SQL databases to Azure.
  • Evaluate and research new database features and technologies.
  • Plan, design, implement, and maintain complex databases, ensuring compliance with security and audit requirements.
  • Collaborate with multiple business units to resolve complex database issues.
  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation supporting a large SQL environment.

Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years of experience as a SQL Database Administrator.
  • Solid understanding of SQL Server internal architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Server database installation, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Experience with SQL Server versions 2012 and above.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automating DBA tasks.
  • Experience managing availability groups, replication, and stand-by configurations.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Spotlight.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalency.
  • Preference for prior experience in a regulated industry.

Pay Range: $50 - $52
