RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client, a growing technology company in the Scottsdale, AZ area is seeking a Manager of Data Governance to lead enterprise data standards, quality, and governance initiatives. This role is hybrid - 4 days onsite/1 day remote. We are partnered directly with the hiring manager on this search.
Summary:
This role is responsible for establishing and advancing data governance frameworks, master data management, data quality, and compliance practices that enable scalable business value and operational efficiency. The Manager, Data Governance will work closely with both technical and business stakeholders to define standards, guide implementation, and lead a distributed team supporting these initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Establish, maintain, and evolve enterprise data governance standards, policies, and processes
* Partner with corporate functional teams and field business units to define data standards, implement governance processes, and drive adoption
* Collaborate with IT to identify and implement technology solutions that support and enforce data governance and standardization
* Identify opportunities for data standardization, enrichment, and quality improvement; propose and lead solution design
* Lead day-to-day activities of the data management team, including defining product specifications, milestones, requirements, and development approvals
* Plan and oversee data standardization and data remediation initiatives across multiple projects
* Maintain visibility into project goals, milestones, timelines, risks, and budget status
* Serve as a technical leader, working closely with functional business partners to translate business needs into data and governance solutions
* Implement and manage data catalog solutions, including configuration and ongoing optimization
* Support governance related tools and workflows, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and best practices
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field
* Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting complex IT or enterprise data initiatives
* At least 3 years of hands-on experience in data governance and data management (required)
* Prior experience managing or leading teams, including cross functional or geographically distributed teams
* Strong working knowledge of data governance principles including metadata management, master data management, data quality, data architecture, data modeling, and data standards
* Demonstrated success implementing data governance frameworks and data catalog solutions
* Experience designing and documenting data workflows, process flows, business requirements, and technical documentation
* Proven ability to lead cross functional teams using established IT project lifecycle methodologies
* Experience performing root cause analysis on data and related business processes to identify improvement opportunities
* Familiarity with data quality tools, data architecture concepts, and enterprise data solutions
* Diplomatic, collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence across technical and business stakeholders
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple large-scale initiatives in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
* Experience with data analytics is preferred
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
