Position OverviewWe are seeking a dependable and skilled Telecommunications Technician to support telephony and mobile application deployments across multiple sites. This contractor will play a key role in installation, go-live support, and troubleshooting activities, working both independently and collaboratively within a broader project team.
Key Responsibilities- Install, configure, and support telecommunications systems and applications
- Assist with deployment and go-live activities for mobile and telephony solutions (iOS-based applications)
- Troubleshoot and resolve voice and telecom-related issues in a timely manner
- Document work performed, including service updates and issue resolution details
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and site stakeholders
- Provide remote support as needed
- Travel to various locations to support on-site deployment activities
- Follow established safety protocols and industry best practices
- Support after-hours or weekend work tied to project schedules or maintenance windows
Required Qualifications- Prior experience in telecommunications or related technical field
- Working knowledge of voice services, telephony systems, and mobile/device-based applications
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including handling equipment
- Reliable transportation preferred
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with PBX, VoIP, SIP, or related network infrastructure technologies
- Technical certifications or formal training in telecommunications or networking
- Experience in customer-facing environments, preferably within complex or regulated industries
- Familiarity with smartphones and mobile applications, particularly iOS devices
Work Environment & Schedule- Standard 40-hour workweek, primarily daytime hours
- Majority of work performed on-site across multiple locations, with some remote support
- Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required
