Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in Agentic AI, Generative AI, and Data Engineering to design and build enterprise-grade AI agents. This role focuses on developing scalable, production-ready Agentic AI systems that integrate seamlessly with enterprise Systems of Record (SoRs).

You will work hands-on across the full lifecycle-from agent workflow design and data integration to deployment, observability, and governance-while collaborating with cross-functional business and operations teams to enable AI-driven transformation across the enterprise.

This role is part of the Observe to Agent Program, where AI systems observe human workflows and translate them into automated, intelligent agents at enterprise scale.
Responsibilities

In this role, you will:
  • Design, develop, and deploy Agentic AI systems using Google Agentic Development Kit (ADK), LangChain, and LangGraph, including multi-agent orchestration, state management, and tool integration.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines, APIs, and connectors to integrate structured and unstructured data from multiple enterprise Systems of Record.
  • Integrate organization-approved foundation models (e.g., Google Gemini, Anthropic) into task-oriented agent workflows.
  • Develop Python-based backend services supporting agent execution, RAG pipelines, memory, tool calling, and structured outputs.
  • Engineer batch and streaming data ingestion pipelines to provide high-quality, governed data access for AI agents.
  • Write and optimize advanced SQL queries for analytics, feature extraction, and real-time agent decision-making.
  • Implement observability, evaluation, guardrails, and cost controls across both AI and data layers.
  • Collaborate with Process Excellence, Operations, and business stakeholders to design AI copilots and agents that improve efficiency and outcomes.
  • Apply strong software engineering practices, including testing, CI/CD, logging, monitoring, and error handling.
  • Consult on complex, large-scale software engineering initiatives that require strategic planning, cross-team collaboration, and adherence to compliance and governance requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering or Data Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong Python programming experience for production-grade services and workflows.
  • Strong SQL expertise, including complex joins, window functions, stored procedures, and query optimization.
  • Hands-on experience building Agentic AI or LLM-powered systems, including agent orchestration and tool usage.
  • Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise data sources using RAG architectures (vector + relational systems).
  • Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and integrating data from APIs, databases, files, and streams.
  • Experience applying production engineering best practices (CI/CD, testing, monitoring, logging).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Google ADK, LangChain, and LangGraph in enterprise environments.
  • Experience with modern data tools such as dbt, Airflow/Composer, Kafka/Pub/Sub, BigQuery, or Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with vector databases and hybrid retrieval strategies.
  • Experience deploying scalable solutions on Google Cloud Platform (preferred) or other major cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of data governance, lineage, security, and PII handling in AI and data pipelines.
  • Experience with LLMOps practices, including evaluation, prompt/version management, tracing, and cost optimization.
  • Experience implementing AI safety controls and guardrails for enterprise use.
