Job Details

We are seeking a Litigation Attorney join our growing Charlotte office.

The ideal candidate will bring 2+ years of litigation experience in municipal and/or employment law.

We offer hybrid flexibility while maintaining a tight knit, collaborative firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive legal advice and guidance on a variety of complex matters, such as employment law, zoning and land use matters, workforce management, civil rights violations, and more
  • Represent clients in litigation, administrative hearings, and negotiations, effectively defending their interests and achieving favorable outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support decision-making and policy development.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ordinances, resolutions, and other legal documents to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with public officials, staff, and external stakeholders, providing clear, concise, and practical legal advice.
  • Stay abreast of legislative changes, court decisions, and emerging issues to ensure our clients are always well-informed and compliant.
  • Promote transparency, accountability, and good governance through the provision of sound legal counsel.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice in the state of North Carolina.
  • Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in employment and/or municipal law.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle a diverse caseload, manage complex legal issues, and achieve positive results for clients.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
