Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our litigation division as an Attorney.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, handling complex civil litigation cases. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a broad range of legal matters, including commercial bankruptcy, commercial foreclosures, and receiverships. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

1. Represent clients in all stages of commercial bankruptcy, commercial foreclosures, and receiverships.
2. Draft and review various legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, appeals, contracts, and legal memoranda.
3. Conduct thorough case analysis and develop effective litigation strategies.
4. Negotiate settlements for legal disputes in a manner that is favorable to the client.
5. Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other stakeholders to gather information, provide case updates, and facilitate the resolution of disputes.
6. Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
7. Stay updated on current legislation and legal developments relevant to civil litigation, commercial bankruptcy, commercial foreclosures, and receiverships.
8. Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a high level of client service and satisfaction.
9. Comply with all legal standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar of NC and in good standing.
3. Proven experience of 2+ years as a civil litigation attorney, specifically handling creditors' rights, commercial bankruptcy, commercial foreclosures, and/or receiverships.
4. Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to resolve complex legal disputes.
5. Strong analytical skills and the ability to handle large amounts of data.
6. Proficient in legal research and writing.
7. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
9. High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
10. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
11. Proficient in the use of legal software and technology.
