Knowledge Management & Content Strategy Consultant

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Knowledge Management and Content Strategy Consultant to lead content governance, knowledge repository optimization, documentation initiatives, and organizational readiness activities supporting the Ovation program. This role will partner with cross-functional teams to establish sustainable knowledge management practices, drive content lifecycle governance, and ensure operational readiness for key program milestones.

Key Responsibilities

Knowledge Management & Content Governance
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge content roadmap, including taxonomy standards, content classification, lifecycle management, archival, and retirement strategies.
  • Assess existing knowledge repositories and establish best practices for the storage, organization, governance, and accessibility of critical business and technical knowledge.
  • Lead and support enterprise Knowledge Management (KM) initiatives to improve knowledge sharing, adoption, and operational effectiveness.
  • Create a strategic roadmap for establishing and maturing Communities of Practice (CoPs) across the organization.

Content Enablement & Training
  • Revise, launch, and manage the Ovation System Documentation (OSD) Content Management training program through the Learning platform.
  • Monitor learner participation and completion rates, providing reporting and follow-up as needed to ensure adoption.
  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions, workshops, and training programs to support organizational readiness and change adoption.

Documentation & Operational Readiness
  • Drive completion of OSD action plans and monitor progress against established milestones.
  • Coordinate and track completion of Ovation documentation deliverables, including runbooks and operational procedures.
  • Lead migration of Ovation Disaster Recovery (DR) runbooks and other operational documentation to designated repositories.
  • Support operational readiness activities and documentation requirements in preparation for Ovation go-live.
  • Partner with technical teams to ensure documentation quality, consistency, accuracy, and governance compliance.

Knowledge Transfer
  • Conduct comprehensive knowledge transfer activities throughout the engagement and prior to contract completion.
  • Develop and maintain supporting documentation, process guides, and stakeholder engagement materials to ensure seamless transition and sustainability.

Required Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of experience in Knowledge Management, Content Strategy, Content Governance, Organizational Change Management, or related consulting roles.
  • Proven experience developing and managing content roadmaps, governance frameworks, and knowledge lifecycle processes.
  • Demonstrated success establishing, facilitating, or managing Communities of Practice (CoPs).
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to collaborate effectively with software developers, architects, platform owners, infrastructure teams, and production support organizations.
  • Excellent technical writing, editing, and documentation review skills.
  • Experience working with enterprise content management and knowledge-sharing platforms.
  • Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive deliverables to completion.
  • Exceptional facilitation, communication, and training delivery capabilities.
  • Ability to quickly build credibility and establish trusted relationships across technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of COBIT 2019 or a comparable governance and controls framework.
  • Experience supporting large-scale technology transformation, operational readiness, or digital modernization programs.
  • Familiarity with documentation governance, disaster recovery procedures, IT operations, and service management practices.
  • Experience defining knowledge governance standards and enterprise content strategy frameworks.
