Job Description
We are seeking a Digital Twin Project Manager to manage complex infrastructure projects for IT services overseeing the development and management of digital twins. The PM will be responsible for the analysis, study, planning, and design of Digital Twin technology and service delivery; planning, facilitating meetings, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring, summarizing, and communicating progress of the project; and directing cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure all deliverables, program/ project/campaign objectives, process milestones and quality measures are completed on-time and on-budget.

DFW Digital Twin Implementation Background
DFW Airport began implementing its digital twin program around 2022 as part of a broader digital-transformation initiative.
- In April 2022, DFW awarded a contract to Willow and Parsons to develop and support a digital twin environment for Runway 18R/36L and Terminal D, which served as the initial deployment of the platform.
- The digital twin was still in its early years by 2023 as the system was being expanded beyond the first assets and integrated with additional airport systems.
- Since then, DFW has continued expanding the platform to support airport-wide operational analytics, maintenance planning, sustainability tracking, and operational decision-making.
Required Experience
- 10+ years of enterprise IT project management experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Digital Twin project management.
- Experience with the creation of a virtual replica of physical assets using digital models.
- Experience providing SME level consulting guidance and communication strategies.
- Experience with Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies.
- Experience with SDLC methodologies.
- Experience with project estimation modeling: cost and budget estimates.
- Experience providing project status and performance reports (Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly) along with schedules with milestone deliverables.
- Experience with reporting risks events, change request w/impact analysis, and issues.

- Project Planning: Developing project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation, and ensuring that the goals and objectives of the digital twin projects are clearly defined and aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Modeling and Simulation: Oversee the development of the digital twin model, including the creation of virtual representations of physical assets, systems, and processes.
- Integration: Ensure the seamless integration of the digital twin with existing systems, processes, and workflows in the aviation organization.
- Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor the performance of the digital twin and optimize it as necessary to ensure it continues to provide value to the organization.
- Risk Management: Identifying potential project risks and developing risk mitigation plans to minimize the impact of these risks on the project''''s timeline, budget, and scope.
- Stakeholder Management: Communicating effectively with stakeholders and managing their expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Resource Management: Allocating project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Data Management: Oversee the collection, processing, and integration of data required to develop and maintain the digital twin. This may include data related to infrastructure design, operations, maintenance, and environmental factors.
- Quality Assurance: Ensuring that the project meets all relevant quality standards and that all deliverables meet the expectations of stakeholders.
- Budget Management: Developing and managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring that the project stays within budgetary constraints.
- Schedule Management: Developing and managing project schedules, tracking progress, and ensuring that the project stays on schedule.
- Change Management: Managing project changes and ensuring that all changes are documented and approved by relevant stakeholders.
- Reporting and Documentation: Provide regular updates on the progress of the project to all stakeholders and document all aspects of the project for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Close-out and Handover: Ensuring that the project is properly closed out and handed over to the relevant stakeholders, including conducting post-project reviews to identify areas for improvement and lessons learned.
- Create Rough Order of Magnitudes (ROM), activity duration estimates, and cost-benefit analyses.
- Interface with Digital Strategy Work Group.
- Ensure compliance with internal project management methodology and change control procedures including Sciforma updates.
- ITS PMO team meeting attendance and participation (twice weekly) and ITS PMO senior staff coordination meeting and participation (Weekly).
- Inter-departmental coordination and communication for project success.
