Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused IT Desktop Support Engineer to provide onsite technical support in Burlington, Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues while delivering excellent end-user support in a fast-paced environment.
Please Note: This is a full-time 1099 Independent Contractor position. No employee benefits, paid time off, health insurance, or other company-sponsored benefits are provided.
Work Authorization Requirement
This position is open only to candidates who are U.S. Citizens, s, L2 or J2 EAD.
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite desktop and laptop support to end users.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 systems.
- Resolve hardware, software, printer, and peripheral issues.
- Support Microsoft Office 365 applications and services.
- Manage user accounts, password resets, and access permissions.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (LAN/WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi).
- Perform software installations, upgrades, and hardware deployments.
- Document incidents and service requests in the ticketing system.
- Coordinate with internal IT teams and vendors to resolve issues.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and equipment records.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Desktop Support, Help Desk, or IT Support roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Active Directory.
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Experience with ticketing and remote support tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications.
- Experience in enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of hardware deployment and asset management.
