RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client in Roanoke, VA is seeking a hands-on Senior Microsoft 365/Entra Engineer to strengthen an existing infrastructure and cloud team. This is not a single-project role. The consultant will own complex issues, help improve the Microsoft environment, and provide senior-level expertise across identity, endpoint management, security, and Microsoft 365. The ideal candidate has strong Entra ID and Active Directory fundamentals, broad M365 experience, and the ability to independently troubleshoot and solve complex infrastructure and identity issues.
Responsibilities:
* Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD and hybrid Active Directory environments
* Manage SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, PIM, identity lifecycle and user provisioning
* Administer Microsoft Intune, including policies, compliance, device management and Autopilot
* Support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive
* Troubleshoot complex authentication, access, endpoint and Microsoft 365 issues
* Support Microsoft Defender, Purview, DLP and information protection
* Develop PowerShell automation for identity and M365 administration
* Support hybrid environments integrating on-premises Active Directory with Microsoft cloud services
* Identify opportunities to improve security, automation and operational efficiency
* Independently take ownership of technical problems through resolution
REQUIREMENTS:
* 7+ years of systems, infrastructure or Microsoft cloud engineering experience
* Strong hands-on Entra ID/Azure AD experience
* Strong Active Directory and hybrid identity background
* Strong troubleshooting/root-cause analysis skills
* Ability to operate independently in an enterprise environment
Experience with:
* Microsoft 365 administration
* Intune and endpoint management
* Conditional Access and MFA
* Identity lifecycle management
* PowerShell
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
