IT Field Technician II
Location: Boardman, OR (Onsite)
Duration: 4-Month Contract with Potential Extension
Pay Rate: $33-$36/hour
Schedule: 40 hours per week, including on-call rotation (approximately 1 week every 6 weeks)
Ledgent Technology is partnering with a valued client to hire an IT Field Technician II to provide temporary coverage during an employee leave of absence. This role will provide hands-on technical support for hardware, software, scan guns, and peripheral devices while ensuring excellent customer service and operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot workstations, laptops, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
- Provide end-user support via phone, email, remote access, and in-person assistance.
- Log, track, and resolve service tickets, escalating issues as needed.
- Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.
- Maintain IT documentation, asset inventory, and compliance with security standards (PCI, SOX, GAP).
- Train users on technology tools and best practices.
- Collaborate with IT teams to improve processes and support services.
- Travel occasionally to other company locations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 5+ years of IT support experience, including Microsoft technologies.
- 2+ years of experience in a compliance-focused environment.
- Microsoft certifications (MCP, MCITP, or similar) preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
- Availability for occasional weekend and after-hours work.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, customer service, and time management skills.
