This role with the Market Risk Technology team offers an opportunity to work closely with senior business stakeholders in the Global Portfolio Analysis, Global Risk Analytics, and Global Market Risk teams. The position involves building subject matter knowledge on Market Risk exposure management for the Global Markets business across all asset classes and having delivery responsibility for funded initiatives driving the build-out of a next-generation Market Risk technology stack. The selected candidate will contribute analytical skills and the ability to work in global teams to deliver projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Own work streams with business and technology stakeholders to discuss business problems.
- Partner with Global Markets Financial Risk, Global Risk Analytics, and Model Risk Management for business requirements.
- Propose technology solutions to business problems and facilitate agreement with all stakeholders.
- Develop prototypes using Python, SQL, and Excel/VBA to demonstrate solutions.
- Perform data analysis using distributed computing and Big Data platforms like Apache Hadoop.
- Develop data analyses, data collection systems, and other strategies to optimize statistical efficiency.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets using statistical techniques.
- Work within an Agile SDLC methodology with Product Owners for the documentation and development of Epics and Stories.
- Own the functional design of market risk applications and facilitate agreement on technical design.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, releases, and migration events.
Required Qualifications
Education: A degree in Computer Engineering or Finance is required.
Experience: Experience in Market Risk, Risk, or a Front Office role is required. This includes a solid understanding of the regulatory landscape, experience with the project life cycle, and exposure to Agile methodologies. Candidates should possess experience in analyzing and validating large volumes of numerical data.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Excel, VBA, and Python is required. Experience with ReactJS and Sybase is also necessary.

- Knowledge of financial markets products.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Organizational skills with efficient follow-up on open items.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $68.00 and $73.68 per hour. The specific rate will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications. A benefits package may be available to eligible employees.
