Role Overview
Our organization is seeking an Audiovisual Engineer to provide AV system design services for U.S. government customers. In this role, you will design, configure, and operate advanced AV systems. This position involves surveying, planning, developing, and testing multi-classification AV solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Survey, plan, develop, design, configure, and test multi-classification AV solutions.
- Generate custom audiovisual system designs, including DSP layouts and systems configuration.
- Attend customer meetings to collect and document system requirements.
- Research, identify, and recommend technology options to solve customer problems.
- Draft system engineering documentation, such as signal flows, line diagrams, and bills of materials.
- Support onsite installation of AV systems and lead system configuration phases.
- Support the development of end-user training materials and operations and maintenance plans.
- Perform in-house testing and on-site commissioning at client locations.
Required Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of related work experience is required. Candidates with 5 or more years of experience may be considered for a higher level. AV systems field installation experience is necessary.
Clearance: This position requires an active TS U.S. Security Clearance. The candidate must have the ability to obtain SCI access and be willing to undergo a polygraph examination. An adjudicated Counterintelligence Polygraph is required.
Other Requirements: Must be able to travel to various job sites as needed. This position is for the first shift but may require occasional compensated, ad hoc support after hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- An Associate degree or higher.
- AVIXA CTS certification.
- Experience with DSP platforms such as Biamp or QSC.
- Experience with Crestron, Extron, and Thinklogical systems.
- An adjudicated Full Scope Polygraph.
