Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team in California on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, with hands-on experience in Java, Python, and Spring Boot-based application development. This role involves designing and developing APIs or microservices, working with modern web technologies, and contributing to an Agile/Scrum development environment.
Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain software applications using Java, Python, and Spring Boot.
- Design and implement APIs or microservices to support business needs.
- Work with modern web technologies such as React and Angular.
- Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum development environment to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Utilize databases like MongoDB or similar technologies for data management.
- Participate in the software development lifecycle, including testing and debugging.
Qualifications: - 2+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, and Spring Boot-based application development.
- Experience with modern web technologies such as React and Angular.
- Knowledge of designing and developing APIs or microservices.
- Working knowledge of databases like MongoDB or similar technologies.
- Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle practices, including testing and debugging.
Desired Qualifications: - Experience with cloud environments such as Google Cloud, Azure, OpenShift, or Kubernetes-based platforms.
- Exposure to Kafka or event-driven architectures.
- Experience with test automation frameworks like Selenium, Playwright, or API automation tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of version control tools such as Git.
- Knowledge or exposure to emerging technologies such as GenAI tools (e.g., Copilot).

Pay Range: $40.00 - $43.00
