Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer 4 / PeopleSoft Platform Engineer
Location: Charlotte, NC - Hybrid (3 days onsite, preference Tues-Thurs overlap)
Contract Length: 18 months (strong potential to extend or convert)
Pay Rate: $69 - $74
Top Requirements:5+ years of PeopleSoft Administration experience with strong PeopleTools upgrade and migration expertiseStrong Oracle database knowledge with performance tuning and optimization experienceExperience with Linux and scripting (shell scripting required)Plusses:Experience with DevOps tools (Git/GitHub, Jenkins, uDeploy, CI/CD)Experience with infrastructure concepts (load balancing, resiliency, BCP, certificates/SSL)Experience with monitoring tools (Grafana, AppDynamics, BigPanda)Exposure to Liquibase and modern deployment automation practicesExperience with Jira, ServiceNow, and enterprise ticketing systemsJob Summary:In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Infrastructure Engineering. Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Infrastructure Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables. Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:- Administer and support PeopleSoft environments including upgrades, patching, and migrations
- Analyze and optimize system performance at both application and database (Oracle) levels
- Configure and manage PeopleSoft tools including App Designer, Change Assistant, and Data Mover
- Support code migrations and deployment processes within database-driven architecture
- Write and maintain Linux shell scripts for automation and system management
- Collaborate with infrastructure and platform teams to improve system resiliency and performance
- Support load balancing, certificate management, and infrastructure reliability processes
- Participate in release and deployment activities, including occasional after-hours support
- Build and enhance automation pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, and uDeploy
- Monitor systems using tools like Grafana, AppDynamics, and BigPanda
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and support L1/L2 escalations as needed
- Document processes, configurations, and operational procedures
- Support long-term transition into release/deployment ownership and platform optimization
