Job description:
My client is seeking a Project Manager to lead the work involved in the execution of the tasks outlined in this Agreement and ensure the work is conducted in a manner which provides the best technical support. The PM will manage the team and the work performed while ensuring the operational functionality of technical solutions or developments, monitoring and evaluating the completion of tasks, providing knowledge transfer to technical staff, reporting and communicating status, scheduling, and generally ensuring project satisfaction.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Required: Possession of a bachelor’s degree in an IT-related or Engineering field.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
MQ1 – PROJECT MANAGER – TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
The Project Manager (PM) must have a minimum three years’ experience in the last six years managing teams and/or programs that perform directly relevant experience, including managing a medium or large, similarly complex project to successful completion. performing project management and the following tasks:
a. Managing technical staff in IT projects, developments, enhancements or IT activities similar to the tasks associated with this Contract.
b. Collaborating with team to identify technical issues and provide recommendations
c. Analyzing users' needs and finding solutions to serve them
d. Ensuring smooth functioning of technical operations
e. Monitoring and evaluating Team progress
f. Setting goals and ensuring overall client satisfaction
g. Providing technical leadership to Team through proper project management, coaching, training and mentorship
h. Project planning
i. Executing the project and project deliverables
j. Managing schedule(s)
k. Overseeing and managing the Contract budget
l. Preparing documents and presenting to all levels of staff and management
m. Ensure completion of project tasks
n. Assessing business, technical, and enterprise architecture artifacts, tools, and environments.
o. Coordinating, facilitating, attending and documenting regular project meetings and openly communicating to inform status, provide recommendations and discuss next steps and actions needed to perform tasks
p. Developing, presenting and timely completing project deliverables.
q. Working collaboratively with Team and other Energy Safety Vendor staff as needed.
r. Provide knowledge transfer and training Making recommendations which support the Energy Safety IT enterprise
MQ2 - PROJECT MANAGER – STATE OF CALIFORNIA EXPERIENCE
The PM must have a minimum one year of experience in the last three years managing a State of California information technology project involving application enhancement development;
MQ3 - PROJECT MANAGER – AGILE EXPERIENCE
The PM must have a minimum of two years’ experience in the last three years managing a project using an Agile methodology.
MQ4 - PROJECT MANAGER – PMP CERTIFICATION
The PM must possess a Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate from the Project Management Institute (PMI)
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
DQ1- PROJECT MANAGER
Two or more consecutive years of experience, in the last 10 years providing project management consultative services to a State of California Department.
