Seeking a Laser Scanning Field Technician. You will receive training and support from our highly experienced team of reality capture experts as you learn how to capture field data accurately and efficiently capture site information. This individual will begin working under the direct supervision of a Lead Field Technician for several months before being expected to execute small and medium-sized reality capture projects on their own across the US and Canada.
Once training is complete, when not on-site, this is a remote position.

What you will learn
How to conduct advanced reality capture projects that lead to the creation of advanced BIM models for project teams worldwide.
Reality capture techniques using various state-of-the-art equipment, including fixed and mobile laser scanners.
Legal use of drones in business, including obtaining your drone pilot''s license.
Experience on-site time at a wide range of structures, from historic buildings to advanced manufacturing spaces.
How to work with large, distributed project teams worldwide on highly technical projects.
Learn the basics of survey, including using total stations and survey practices.
Responsibilities
You will work closely with senior field techs for the first several months to learn reality capture projects. After training, you will begin working closely with senior technical project managers and coordinators to;
Operate and maintain 3D laser scanning equipment, including laptops, digital cameras, and various other measuring tools
Utilize the latest 3D technology and equipment to scan, measure, and document all aspects of reality
Perform independent building surveys, including the assessment of existing conditions, including equipment
Interact and provide excellent customer service with site contacts and clients
Communicate with registration & modeling teams
Qualifications
2 years of relevant experience.
Enjoy travel around the US and Canada.
Working extended hours on-site when required.
Passion for new technology or experience with audio/visual equipment
Self-Motivated with attention to detail
Strong communication skills, good collaborator, creative thinker, highly organized
Technical Computer skills – Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel
Technical Mobile Device skills – Ability to use phones / iPads / tablets to complete various tasks
Exceptional note-taking skills
Experience working in technical teams
Valid driver''s license
Ability to rent a car
