We are seeking an Application Programmer to contribute to a Securities Pricing Platform. This role involves full-stack Java development with a focus on Oracle databases. The programmer will engage with users to refine requirements and work with the team to ensure the timely closure of tasks and a broader understanding of the application's functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java applications and REST API services using Spring Boot and Jersey.
- Write and manage PL/SQL queries and perform Oracle database programming.
- Code data access logic utilizing Spring Boot.
- Manage transactions, with an understanding of XA transactions and connection pooling.
- Implement test-driven development (TDD) using JUnit or an equivalent framework.
- Work within CI/CD pipelines for application builds and deployments.
- Engage with users to address queries, issues, and refine requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the closure of all items.
Required Qualifications
Experience:- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Oracle DB, including PL/SQL queries and programming.
- A minimum of 3 years of Java application development experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with a Web/J2EE application server such as Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere, or JBOSS EAP 7.1.
Technical Skills:- Proficiency in developing REST API services using Spring Boot and Jersey.
- Experience with coding data access logic using Spring Boot.
- Expertise in transaction management, including XA transactions and connection pooling.
- Knowledge of REST principles and resource-oriented architecture.
- Experience with TDD using JUnit or an equivalent framework.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for build and deployment processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience with the Angular framework and Kendo UI.
- Knowledge of performance tuning and identifying memory leaks.
