In this contingent resource assignment, the Software Engineer will consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering. Responsibilities include reviewing and analyzing moderately complex engineering challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors, contributing to issue resolution, and collaborating with others to meet deliverables while ensuring alignment with policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications: 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent through work, consulting, training, military experience, or education.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Deploy, configure, and maintain OpenShift clusters or Google Cloud Platform projects for Spark workloads
Support platform capabilities for statistical model execution
Design and implement large-scale data processing workflows using Apache Spark
Tune Spark jobs using Kubernetes orchestration and auto-scaling
Build Python/Django services and microservices supporting platform users
Configure tooling and internal applications for data processing and model execution
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Sonar, Harness, Helm
Monitor Spark jobs and cluster health using Prometheus, Grafana, and Google Cloud Platform tools
Debug distributed systems and optimize resource utilization
Implement RBAC and encryption for data in transit and at rest
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and support deployments
