Role Overview
We are seeking a Mid-Level QA Engineer to support a banking client’s Account Opening Modernization initiative. This role will be responsible for both manual and automated testing across front‑end, backend, and integration layers, ensuring high quality, secure, and compliant delivery in a regulated financial environment.
The ideal candidate has experience testing enterprise web applications, APIs, and data integrations, and is comfortable working closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases for web and backend applications
Develop and maintain automated test scripts for UI, APIs, and regression testing
Test applications built using Angular and ReactJS front ends
Validate backend services built with .NET (C#), Java, Python, and Node.js
Perform API testing for integrations between CRM, DAO services, Client Portal, and K2 workflows
Validate data accuracy across SQL and NoSQL databases
Support testing of data pipelines and integrations using Azure Data Factory
Execute functional, integration, regression, and smoke testing
Log, track, and retest defects in collaboration with development teams
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
Ensure testing aligns with banking security, compliance, and data integrity standards
Required Qualifications
Experience testing:
Web applications (UI)
REST APIs
Backend services
Familiarity with:
Angular and/or ReactJS applications
.NET / C#, Java, Python, Node.js (testing perspective)
SQL and NoSQL databases
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Strong defect management and communication skills
Nice to Have
Experience testing banking or financial services applications
Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST automation tools)
Experience testing data integrations or ETL processes
Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools
Experience supporting modernization or integration‑heavy initiatives
