Summary

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
• Responsible for elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business requirements.
• Research and exploration of user requirements, costs, and benefits in support of documentation required for the demand management process.
• Responsible for analyzing the business needs to identify new processes and process improvements that will meet those needs.
• Documents current business processes and models to define requirements and/or gaps.
• Analyze detailed system factors including input/output requirements, information and paper flow, hardware, and software needs.
• Analyze “soft" system factors including roles, responsibilities, policy, culture, etc.
• Evaluate the impact of potential software and process changes on the organization.
• Develop and facilitate groups as necessary in pursuit of eliciting and defining requirements.
• Assist in the creation of the business case documentation.
• Understanding of architectural consistency and usability standards.
• Defines and develops user test cases and validates test results during testing.
• Executes unit and functional test cases.
• May conduct system demonstrations and training sessions, as well as participate in design/review of training content.
• Plays a third level support role by helping to troubleshoot and resolve issues with production systems.
• Participates in associate meetings and communicates any concerns to management.


QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business, or another related field or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience leading data migration requirements from legacy systems into a new ERP (Sage X3) environment
• Strong hands-on expertise in requirements elicitation, documentation, and management, with emphasis on data mapping, transformation rules, and validation
• Deep understanding of data structures, data quality, and migration best practices, with the ability to identify gaps and risks early
• Self-driven and accountable professional with strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to drive outcomes with minimal oversight
• Working knowledge of Confluence and JIRA.
• Experience in any of the following business areas is desired: Sales operations, order entry, accounting, finance, procurement, warehouse operations, order management, and order fulfillment.
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ business analysis or systems analysis experience is preferred.
• Bonus: Sage X3 experience (ERP).

• Knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies, processes, and procedures.

Job Title: SAP Developer/Global Support Manager

Location: Columbia, SC (Hybrid)

Duration: 12 Months

 

Scope of the project:  This position serves as a technical resource to support the HCM functional staff in the maintenance, support and enhancement of the human resource and payroll functionalities of the sap enterprise software.

 

Daily duties/responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain application programs based upon specifications
  • Code, test and implement configuration modifications in the human resources (HR) and payroll (PY) modules.
  • Troubleshoot, identify and resolve problems that occur with programs or software
  • Provide functional designs from end-user requirements.
  • Document Processes, Designs and Testing Activities
  • Involved in the lifecycle of critical projects from design through go-live
  • Assist functional team with technical direction to design high quality solutions
  • Provide solid, error free and efficient technical solutions with the minimum of management supervision
  • Development of custom infotypes
  • Development of custom macros when necessary for logical databases
  • Coding for HCM structural authorizations
  • Working knowledge of the HR cluster tables and schemas especially those related to the payroll process
  • Enhancements for dynamic actions
  • Enhancements for remuneration statements
  • BSI 10.0 tax software tub and cyclic applications and trouble shooting
  • Prepare functional estimates that will be used for project planning purposes
  • Assist in identifying and resolving sap issues across multiple functional areas
  • Provide problem resolution for sap support issues to internal business partners and maintain support logs and technical documentation
  • Research SAP/OSS notes to resolve issues
  • Establish development standards for portal technologies
  • Provide after-hours support of the SAP system as needed
  • Facilitate requirements sessions and identify opportunities to improve existing programs
  • Resolve issues with programs that are causing system performance problems
  • Assist with upgrades, support packs and enhancements
  • Other duties as assigned as project needs dictate

 

General

  • Provide effective and timely oral and written communications to management, peers and users.
  • Identification and escalation of issues and risks to management in a timely manner.

 

Required skills (rank in order of importance):

  • 2 Full Life Cycle SAP HCM project implementations
  • Lead role implementation of SAP public sector
  • 7+ years of SAP HCM experience

 

Required education/certifications:

Bachelors in Human Resources, IT, Business or equivalent experience

 

Preferred education/certifications:

SAP Certification
