Production Manager / Production Planner

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Construction Manager/Production Planner. Austin, TX is a centralized location as opportunities for this role are throughout the state of TX.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Production Management:
* Lead and manage the overall production planning system across the project/program
* Coordinate with superintendents, project planners, and project leadership
* Review production metrics and field performance
* Monitor progress against production goals and schedule milestones
* Lead discussions regarding production constraints and roadblock resolution
* Ensure consistent production processes are utilized across all phases

Planning & Scheduling:
* Develop and maintain weekly work plans
* Facilitate phase planning sessions
* Support pull planning and look-ahead planning activities
* Ensure production planning aligns with the master project schedule
* Verify proper sequencing of work activities and trade coordination
* Track production consistency across project teams

Field Coordination:
* Work directly with superintendents to support field execution
* Participate in planning huddles and coordination meetings
* Ensure trade handoffs occur efficiently

REQUIREMENTS:
Must-Have Technical Skills:
* Advanced production planning experience within construction
* Strong understanding of pull planning methodologies
* Experience with Lookahead Planning (3-week, 6-week, or similar)
* Weekly Work Plan development and management
* Knowledge of Lean Construction principles
* Schedule coordination and production tracking
* KPI development and reporting
* Constraint management and roadblock resolution

Must-Have Industry Experience:
* Commercial construction
* Data center construction (likely a strong fit)
* Industrial construction
* Large capital projects
* Multi-phase construction programs

Preferred Software/Tools:
* Primavera P6
* Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC)
* New version of Primavera - easy to transition if they have P6 experience (nice to have)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
