Description
We are looking for a skilled IT Project Manager to oversee and deliver complex technology and business projects in a highly regulated industry. This long-term contract position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in enterprise IT, exceptional organizational abilities, and expertise in project management methodologies. Based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, this role offers the opportunity to collaborate with diverse teams and drive impactful solutions.
Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of IT and business projects, ensuring successful planning, execution, and delivery.
Oversee project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and documentation to align with organizational objectives.
Collaborate closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to achieve project goals.
Facilitate productive meetings, gather requirements, and guide decision-making processes.
Provide regular updates on project progress, potential challenges, and milestones to senior leadership.
Promote adherence to organizational standards and contribute to the improvement of processes.
Support the transition from Microsoft Project to Jira, ensuring smooth adoption and proper utilization.
Implement best practices and methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid approaches.
Address challenges proactively and maintain high-quality standards throughout project execution.

Requirements
The successful IT Project Manager will have:
Minimum of 3 years of experience managing IT projects within enterprise environments.
Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project and Jira.
Solid understanding of Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid project methodologies.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and manage stakeholders effectively.
Experience working on cross-functional business and technology initiatives.
Preferred certifications include PMP, Scrum Master, or other relevant credentials.
Consulting experience and familiarity with highly regulated industries are advantageous.
Ability to adapt to new tools and processes, ensuring smooth transitions and effective project delivery.
Background prior to employment required.
