Genesis10 is currently seeking a Scrum Master for a hybrid position (3 days per week onsite) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC or Irving, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. In this role, the Scrum Master will be responsible for leading all Scrum ceremonies, ensuring adherence to Agile principles, and facilitating backlog refinement with Product Owners. The ideal candidate will manage sprint execution, monitor delivery using Agile metrics, and work to identify and remove team impediments and blockers.
Responsibilities: - Lead all Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Quarterly planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective
- Manage resource capacity tracking and forecasting
- Ensure adherence to the Scrum framework and Agile principles
- Facilitate backlog refinement (grooming) with Product Owners
- Support empirical process control (inspect and adapt)
- Manage sprint execution and track progress against goals
- Monitor delivery using Agile metrics such as Velocity, Sprint burndown/burnup, and Cycle time/throughput
- Identify and remove team impediments and blockers
- Coordinate cross-team dependencies and risks
- Support technical discussions and assist with managing technical debt, infrastructure issues, and release risks
- Partner with Product Owners on backlog prioritization
- Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership
- Coach teams on Agile and Scrum practices and drive continuous improvement
Requirements: - Proven experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile environment
- Deep understanding of Agile and Scrum Frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Scrum of Scrums)
- Proficiency with Agile Delivery Tools: Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, MS Office, and Teams
- Experience with sprint-based delivery, backlog management, Definition of Ready (DoR) / Definition of Done (DoD), and story sizing
- Ability to understand system architecture, APIs, integrations, and dependencies
- Strong skills in promoting self-organization and accountability within teams
- Experience with Agile SDLC workflow
Desired skills: - Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent
- Experience with enterprise platforms (cloud, data platforms, DevOps environments)
- Prior engineering, QA, or development background
- Experience in large-scale enterprise or multi-team delivery environments
Pay range: $58.75 - $66.75 per hour
