Genesis10 is currently seeking a Technical Product Owner for a hybrid position (3 days onsite per week) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC or Irving, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role involves defining and owning the end-to-end documentation strategy for key product areas within an Agile environment. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between technical and business teams, translating complex concepts into clear, user-friendly content and managing documentation work items using tools like Jira and Confluence.
Responsibilities: - Own and define the end-to-end documentation strategy for assigned product areas
- Create and maintain user guides, process documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base content
- Manage and maintain Confluence and SharePoint documentation repositories
- Partner with Product Owners, Application Managers, Engineers, and Program Managers to gather requirements and ensure technical accuracy
- Participate in PI Planning and backlog refinement, creating and managing user stories and tasks in Jira
- Act as the voice of the end user, ensuring usability and clarity in all documentation
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, user-friendly documentation tailored to various audiences
- Manage multiple documentation initiatives simultaneously to deliver high-quality work within tight timelines
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in technical writing, product support, or project delivery
- 2+ years of Product Owner experience within Agile environments
- Background in product development, product management, or Scrum delivery models
- Comfortable working with complex technical systems and applications
- Experience with API documentation and developer-facing content
- Proficiency with tools such as Jira and Confluence for tracking and collaboration
- Ability to apply audience-focused principles to improve usability and align documentation with user needs
Desired skills: - Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or FinTech environments
- Experience supporting developer tools or engineering platforms
- Certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Scrum Certification, or PMP / PMBOK / SDLC
Pay range: $59.53 - $67.53 per hour
